Add a background image as a reference.
Many font designers draw a font on paper first before putting it through an editor like Glyphr. Allowing a background image to be uploaded as reference would greatly help the process of designing font.

More Unicode ranges
I would like to have the blocks Supplementary Private Use Area-A (U+F0000 - U+FFFFD) and Supplementary Private Use Area-B (U+100000 - U+10FFFD) to be added.
More other ranges are good too, but with the two I named we could create more custom glyphs because these aren't used for a specific letter or symbol.9 votes -

Edit Guide colors and position values in the Glyph (guides) screen
The 'system guide' lines are too dim even when transparency is turned off. I'd like to be able to select my own guide colors on the Glyph Edit screen, by clicking on the orange color blocks. A pop-up color selector box would be perfect. Keep the transparency adjustment.
Also, make the guide position values adjustable on that screen, because I can see the glyph while adjusting (for a new font).3 votes -

Add a search option in glyph ranges
Add an option to search for specific characters in the ,,add additional glyph ranges" feature. It would work the way that you can search the letter itself for example "Ň" or it's hex value which would be "0x147"

Tell us where our exported files go!!!!!
Tell us where our exported files go!!!!! I exported a file I was working on, where did it go? I check my folders: fonts, download, desktop etc etc etc.
Where is it? Why not let us navigate to it so we know where it goes?1 vote -
Custom hhea and OS/2 header
When editing certain fonts (such as Source Code Pro), the export modifies certain attributes that makes the new font behave differently than the original (line spacing in certain applications such as Fluent Terminal). Directly editing all OTF attributes including the Horizontal Header (hhea) and Windows Metrics Table (OS/2) would fix this.

Opening Type 1 fonts would be nice
Adobe just announced Type 1 fonts will no longer be supported in 2023. This is an opportunity for Glyphr to open and translate fonts to OTF. I really like Glyphr. Finally something that is simple yet powerful. Font Lab is way too complicated and expensive for someone that just wants to fix a font or add something that is missing.

A trained neural network for (auto) Kerning fonts

Allow font-comparison in Test Drive.
Having the option to see another font loaded alongside / inline with the in-progress font on the Test Drive page would be helpful for catching sizing and spacing errors.

It would be useful to be able to set the kerning pairs for custom ligatures.

Option to inherit kerning from utilized components
It would be useful to have AẶẬÀÁÂÃÄÅĀĂĄḀẠẢẤẦẨẪẮẰẲẴ all get their kerng just from A so that it's not necessary to enter this long string every time you want to kern A. Maybe each letter can have an option to inherit the kerning from an instanced component.

Something as simple as adding an UP and DOWN arrow button adjust individual letters, this is an essential editing tool that I don’t see.
The button would allow you to make small incremental adjustments to letters up or down. Sometimes this is tricky when we are making those bounce letters and the letters are all over the baseline. The UP DOWN arrow button would be a lifesaver!!!🙌🏻☺️

Change Line Height
Our designer wants to use Line height 150% allover the project. However, this causes unnecessary processes on iOS. For this reason, I tried to do this by editing the font file directly. But I couldn't do it. What is the way to increase the line height with editing font file. I don't want to change the height of the typing indicator.
